Educator and activist Peggy Hall reveals documents from more than 50 years ago that show the U.S. government has admitted to manipulating hurricanes.

She says the Department of the Navy and the Department of the Air Force worked together with General Electric to influence the elements.

Hall provided a link to an article published by General Electric titled "History of Project Cirrus from 1947 to 1952," which examined how cloud particles and cloud modifications affect hurricanes.

Jimmy Patronis, the state fire marshal in Florida, wrote on Twitter:

"Huge numbers of electric vehicles are put out of service by 'Ian.' When those batteries rust, fires start. This is a new challenge that our firefighters have not yet faced. At least on this scale."
