The Oceanographic Support Ship (NApOc) 'Ary Rongel' and the Po | Tupi Report 🇧🇷

The Oceanographic Support Ship (NApOc) "Ary Rongel" and the Polar Ship (NPo) "Almirante Maximiano" returned to the city of Niterói (RJ), marking the end of the XL Antarctic Operation (OPERANTAR), after 183 days of travel.

OPERANTAR XL marked the resumption of field research projects and the use of the laboratories at the Comandante Ferraz Antarctic Station (EACF), after the interruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. During the operation, the ships provided relevant support for the analysis of meteorological and oceanographic data of the Antarctic Continent, besides logistically supporting the EACF.
