Urban Operations Center prepares military personnel for international exercise
From June 13 to 15, the 28th Mechanized Infantry Battalion, through the Urban Operations Training Center, conducted instructions for the preparation of 173 military personnel from the 5th Light Infantry Battalion who will participate in exercise CORE 22 (Combined Operations and Rotation Exercises), together with troops from the United States Army.
The purpose of the activity was to contribute to the training and validation of doctrinal aspects of combat in urbanized areas, which will be applied during exercise CORE 22, which will take place in August of this year, at the U.S. Army's Joint Preparedness and Training Center, in Fort PoIk, Louisiana. Combat training was carried out in confined spaces, underground combat, and ostensive patrol. At the end, an offensive and defensive exercise was carried out in an urban area, platoon and company value.
