Suplicy interrupts PT government program announcement, says he wasn't invited and that "basic income" lacked attention
On Tuesday, the slate formed by Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Geraldo Alckmin officially launched the guidelines of their government program, in São Paulo. The event was marked by a manifestation of councilman Eduardo Suplicy (PT), who addressed the president of the Perseu Abramo Foundation, Aloizio Mercadante, to complain that his proposal for a basic income "was not considered" among the items of the program. The councilman also said he had not been invited to the launching. A demonstrator entered the event and cursed Lula and Alckmin. According to the press, the man was identified as Caíque Mafra, a former PSDB affiliate.
