Venezuela's President Maduro says developing countries are suffering from sanctions against Russia.

Venezuela's president called for the lifting of sanctions on Russia, as their consequences are negatively affecting developing countries.

"Here in Caracas, I declare that sanctions against Russia must be lifted. It is necessary to normalise the economic situation in the world, which the states of the global South are suffering," he said during a speech broadcast on his Twitter page.
