As the Globo TV interview with Lula went forward, the Former President made another statement considered controversial by netizens on Brazilian social medias
When asked about the current pollarization dividing Brazil between his supporters, Bolsonaro's supporters and supporters of minor candidates, Lula answered:
— "Political pollarization exists everywhere...
But, you see, there's no pollarization in Chinese Communist Party, there is no pollarization in Cuban Communist Party
But when you have democracy, when you have more than 1 person running, the pollarization is healthy"

— Many netizens, including those on the far left, saw this statement as a criticism of Mainland China and Cuba, both countries notoriously ruled by Left Governments, albeit with different ideological ramifications.
