2022-08-26 13:57:51 Well, critical support does mean that we are also critical, and we shall be so.

It seems that very recently Ukraine has signed into law a significant restriction on workers' rights in the form of the so-called Law 5371. While the bill itself has been in the making for the past year or so, last week Ukrainian government seems to have found sufficient excuse in the form of "war measures" to pass this bill. The bill gives businesses with less than 250 employees the ability to forfeit a large portion of labor protections previously enforced, which affects more than 70% of the workforce of Ukraine. It also negates protections from trade unions, in that they no longer are able to veto dismissals by businesses.

Proponents in UA government have said that this will reduce government red tape, inline with "Ukraine's free market ideals". On the other hand, this has been obviously opposed by unions in Ukraine who had previously urged Zelenskyy to veto the law — which he didn't. To a critical observer, this is just UA's more sinister and corrupt side showing. Ukraine didn't have a reputation of being a champion of democracy or workers' rights before the war, so this is very much inline with government's regular procedure. Obviously, this isn't a statement in support of Russia's invasion and warmongering, not at all. It is merely a statement of the reality of the situation; something that some more optimistic people might need a reminder of.

2022-08-26 13:41:06 Aleksandr Dugin is a Russian political philosopher, analyst, and strategist, known for his fascist views.

The Fourth Political Theory is a book by the Russian philosopher and political analyst Aleksandr Dugin, published in 2009. In the book, Dugin states that he is laying the foundations for an entirely new political ideology, the fourth political theory, which integrates and supersedes liberal democracy, Marxism, and fascism. In this theory, the main subject of politics is not individualism, class struggle, or nation, but rather Dasein (existence itself).

2022-08-26 13:37:57 Dear Ontological Anarchy:
This is a fascist book written by a fascist person whose fascist daughter was just assassinated in a botched attempt on his life. I know it has a chaos star on it, but this one isn't anarchist. This one is a fascist chaos star.
Sincerely,
Your Friends at United Anarchists

forget Deep Green Resistance and focus on this chart for a while

what differentiates a random leftist from an anarchist is going beyond lip service on the Direct Action section of the chart

yes, I'm defining what an anarchist is, I'm a bad Synthesis Anarchist

The fanatic who tells himself that he will save people by force, and in his own manner, is always a sincere man, but a terrible agent of oppression and reaction. Robespierre, with horrible good faith and his conscience pure and cruel, was just as fatal for the Revolution as the personal ambition of Bonaparte. The ardent zeal of Torquemada for the salvation of souls did much more harm to freedom of thought and to the progress of the human mind than the scepticism and corruption of Leo X and his court."

2022-06-24 08:09:06 "Most assuredly the bourgeoisie has no right to complain of the violence of its foes, since its whole history, as a class, is a history of bloodshed, and since the system of exploitation, which is the law of its life, daily produces hecatombs of innocents. Assuredly, too, it is not political parties who should complain of violence, for these are, one and all, red-handed with blood spilt unnecessarily, and wholly in their own interest; these, who have brought up the young, generation after generation, in the cult of force triumphant; these, who when they are not actual apologists of the Inquisition, are yet enthusiastic admirers of that Red Terror, which checked the splendid revolutionary impulse at the end of the last century, and prepared the way for the Empire, for the Restoration, and the White Terror."

2022-06-24 08:07:43 "I repeat here: as Anarchists, we cannot and we do not desire to employ violence, except in the defence of ourselves and others against oppression. But we claim this right of defence—entire, real, and efficacious. That is, we wish to be able to go behind the material instrument which wounds us, and to attack the hand which wields the instrument, and the head which directs it. And we wish to choose our own hour and field of battle, so as to attack the enemy under conditions as favourable as possible: whether it be when he is actually provoking and attacking us, or at times when he slumbers, and relaxes his hand, counting on popular submission. For as a fact, the bourgeoisie is in a permanent state of war against the proletariat, since it never for one moment ceases to exploit the latter, and grind it down." [emphasis mine]

2022-06-24 08:06:07 " In my opinion, there can be no doubt that the Anarchist Idea, denying government, is by its very nature opposed to violence, which is the essence of every authoritarian system—the mode of action of every government.

Anarchy is freedom in solidarity. It is only through the harmonizing of interests, through voluntary co-operation, through love, respect, and reciprocal tolerance, by persuasion, by example, and by the contagion of benevolence, that it can and ought to triumph.

We are Anarchists, because we believe that we can never achieve the combined well-being of all—which is the aim of all our efforts—except through a free understanding among men, and without forcibly imposing the will of any upon any others. "
