A postcard published in Japan during the Meiji era. It reads: "The Big Cranes at the Mitsubishi Dockyard, Nagasaki." The cranes were actually designed by the Glasgow Electric Crane and Hoist Company and constructed by engineers from the Motherwell Bridge Company in 1909. The cranes are still in use to this day.
