A bit of falsification The engraving "The Incas make offerings to the sun god" is published by B. Picart in 1723. Already in 1809, a new edition of Picarts book (after his death) specifies that the god is called Inti and specifies that it is "the god of all gods. A few decades later, in 1884, the engraving appeared on page 130 of The Babylonian Epic, Goddess Ishtar and Izudbar, in the British Library. In just a century and a half, the engraving of the religious life of the Incas was transformed into a fragment of the Babylonian epic. 4.2K views04:16
