Recently the Minister for External Affairs had commented that the Indo-China relationship is going through an extremely difficult phase after what China did at the border.
The Indo-China border dispute is a long impending one and so is a subject matter of importance for us in GS 2.

In this lecture, we shall discuss the relationship between India and China between 1962 and 2005 which can be termed as a phase of Wars and Conflicts.

We will also see how the concept of border between the two countries came to be and on what basis it was done and the ongoing disputes in 3 sectors, namely Western sector, Middle Sector and Eastern Sector, each dealing with the borders of Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh respectively.
