Tele – MANAS Tele-MANAS helpline has reached a milestone by receiving over 1 lakh calls since its launch in October 2022. Details : The Tele-MANAS helpline reached the 1 lakh mark in 6 months, thereby helping to achieve a robust digital mental health network across the country. Tele – MANAS ( Tele Mental Health Assistance and Networking Across States) is a national tele-mental health programme of India. It was launched on 10th October 2022 (World Mental Health Day) to provide a boost to the existing mental healthcare services. Tele -MANAS provides access to mental healthcare services 24X7 even in the remotest part of the country. These services are available free of cost for all individuals through a toll-free number, 14416/ 1800-89-14416. Tele -MANAS, a nationwide service is an initiative of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GoI. At present, it has over 38 functional Tele-MANAS cells spread across 27 States and UTs, and provides mental health services in over 20 languages.
