There have been a number of notable case studies in the history of psychology. Much of Freud's work and theories were developed through the use of individual case studies. Some great examples of case studies in psychology include:

Anna O: Anna O. was a pseudonym of a woman named Bertha Pappenheim, a patient of a physician named Josef Breuer. While she was never a patient of Freud's, Freud and Breuer discussed her case extensively. The woman was experiencing symptoms of a condition that was then known as hysteria and found that talking about her problems helped relieve her symptoms. Her case played an important part in the development of talk therapy as an approach to mental health treatment.

Phineas Gage: Phineas Gage was a railroad employee who experienced a terrible accident in which an explosion sent a metal rod through his skull, damaging important portions of his brain. Gage recovered from his accident but was left with serious changes in both personality and behavior.

Genie: Genie was a young girl subjected to horrific abuse and isolation. The case study of Genie allowed researchers to study whether language could be taught even after critical periods for language development had been missed. Her case also served as an example of how scientific research may interfere with treatment and lead to further abuse of vulnerable individuals. Open / Comment

According to Pareto, 20% of your priorities will give you 80% of results but the only condition is that you should spend your time, energy,and resources on your top 20% of priorities.

We have talked about this law in our prelims orientation session and since prelims 2022 is approaching, your focus should be on important and conventional areas from where questions are certain.

Similarly if you plan your preparation from mains perspective, you priority should be the Optional subject because you can get more than 50 % marks in Optional only if you prepare well with a good strategy

We think that we can finish our important and bigger tasks later on while the easy and small tasks should be finished first. And later on we realise there isn’t any time left for important and bigger tasks.

If you want to change your circumstances you must start thinking differently.

This means all things in this world can be procured, but those are not found by the lazy people.

If you want to harvest success in future you will have to sow seeds today. If you’ll not sow seeds today, how can you expect to harvest success tomorrow?

The whole universe works on the principle of effort and result. Therefore, you’ll get the result in proportion to your effort. If you wish to get success, get immersed in action and keep working till you get successful.
