Ambassador Henick: My next stop in Bukhara was one of the U.S. Embassy's longest-standing university partners – Bukhara State University.

BSU was among the first schools to host an English Microscholarship Program in Uzbekistan. Since 2019, BSU has hosted three English Language Fellows and two Fulbright English Teaching Assistants—all of whom have helped to increase English language proficiency and improve the training and professional development of English teachers in Uzbekistan.
