ㅤAccording to the 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 policy of Fashion
ㅤTheory: The Journal of Dress, Body and
ㅤCulture, fashion is defined as "the cultural
ㅤconstruction of the embodied identity."
ㅤAs such, it encompasses all forms of
ㅤ𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗳𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, including street styles
ㅤas well as so-called high fashion created by
ㅤdesigners and couturiers. Fashion also
ㅤalludes to the way in which things are made;
ㅤto fashion something is to make it in a
ㅤparticular form. 𝖬𝗈𝗌𝗍 𝖼𝗈𝗆𝗆𝗈𝗇𝗅𝗒, fashion
ㅤis defined as the prevailing style of dress
ㅤor behavior at any given time, with the strong
ㅤimplication that fashion is characterized
ㅤby change. As 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗲 wrote, "The
ㅤfashion wears out more apparel than the
ㅤman." There are fashions in furniture
ㅤautomobiles and other objects, as well as in
ㅤclothing, although greater attention is paid to
ㅤsartorial 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗻, probably because clothing
ㅤhas such an intimate relationship with the
ㅤphysical body and, 𝖻𝗒 𝖾𝗑𝗍𝖾𝗇𝗌𝗂𝗈𝗇, the personal
ㅤidentity of the individual.
