We want to be around our community and we believe face to face gatherings are crucial for all of us, more than ever in this time.

We love our community and we are going to be providing in person solutions, hugs and hearty conversations during these times.

2022-02-21 02:23:38 Australia’s National Children’s Commissioner wants to hear from children and their families about how living through the past two years of COVID-19 has affected their mental health and wellbeing.

Parents and carers can complete the survey or if your child is aged nine to seventeen they can complete the survey themselves.

Freedom Keepers Victoria have been investigating the current requirement in the Schools Operation Guide which restricts unvaccinated parents from entering school buildings.

This restriction prohibits parents from attending school events, parent teacher meetings, sports games and important volunteer roles such as canteen duty and sports team coaching.

We have been advised that this restriction comes from advice given by the Dept of Health.

Upon speaking with the Dept of Health, we have been informed that this restriction was implemented on the basis of a State of Emergency Chief Health Officer Direction.

Now that Victoria is no longer under a State of Emergency, why is this restriction still being implemented?

There are no Pandemic Orders under the current Pandemic Legislation that prohibit unvaccinated parents entering school buildings.

We are calling on the Dept of Health and Dept of Education to drop this divisive and unlawful restriction immediately.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Call the dept of health education hotline on 1800 338 663
ask why their advice is based on expired state of emergency legislation.

Contact your child's school to make them aware of this information and ask when this requirement will be removed.

Things are moving quickly in the Federal Court. Our First Case Management Hearing is now locked in for 2.15PM (ADST) tomorrow, the 16th of February. This Hearing will see the parties negotiate some initial matters raised by her Honour, and set down a date for a final hearing.

What are the psychological complications for our children when they have no symptoms yet are repeatedly tester for illness.

What are we teaching our children when they are asymptomatic but told they are sick and have to isolate?

As children, very few of us would have lived with an ongoing fear of becoming sick. Yet with the constant media coverage and rapid testing, we are creating a generation of young children who have severe anxiety about contracting Covid. Open / Comment
