The New York Times:
Russian forces targeted the city of Lviv in western Ukraine with as many as five missiles on Monday, local officials said, causing large explosions and sending dark plumes of smoke into the air. The extent of the damage or any casualties was not immediately clear.
“Five powerful missile strikes at once on the civilian infrastructure of the old European Lviv,” Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine,
wrote on Twitter. “The Russians continue barbarically attacking Ukrainian cities from the air, cynically declaring to the whole world their ‘right’ to … kill Ukrainians.”
