Kremlin’s insanity is record-breaking: instead of pulling out of Ukraine to save lives of young Russian soldiers, the Russian government wants to send more of its male population to die.

In a sign of Russia's urgent need to bolster its war effort in Ukraine, parliament said on Friday it would consider a bill to allow Russians over 40 and foreigners over 30 to sign up for the military.

The website of the State Duma, parliament's lower house, said the move would enable the military to utilise the skills of older professionals.

"Clearly, the Russians are in trouble. This is the latest attempt to address manpower shortages without alarming their own population. But it is growing increasingly difficult for the Kremlin to disguise their failures in Ukraine," said retired U.S. General Ben Hodges, a former commander of U.S. Army forces in Europe. This Russian “unsung hero” is Fassakhov Bulat Lenarovich, born on November 20, 2001, a native of the Republic of Tatarstan, serving in the 30th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Central Military District of Russia.

On one occasion, this individual broke into an apartment of a Ukrainian family, locked them in a basement.. except for their young child, who he raped repeatedly along with three accomplices.

The Senate voted 86-11 in favor of the package of military, economic and humanitarian assistance, by far the largest U.S. aid package for Ukraine to date. All 11 no votes were from Republicans.

When Biden signs the supplemental spending bill into law, it will bring the total amount of U.S. aid approved for Ukraine to well over $50 billion since the Russian invasion began on Feb. 24.

"By passing this emergency aid, the Senate can now say to the Ukrainian people: help is on the way. Real help. Significant help. Help that could make sure that the Ukrainians are victorious," Democratic Senate Majority Leader Schumer said.
