Eg in Mali while Sundiata keita (1234-1255)laud the foundation of the empire through conquest,Mansa Kankan(Lord)Musa(1307-1337)built.,expanded and advertised it Fourthly trade also led to the rise and fame of sudanes African state. All the Western Sudanese state participated and control the trans-saharan trade Even after the fall of ancient Ghana the trade did not collapse but rather aided the rise of Mali. Lastly the Sudanese empire possess large army for defence for security even though they did not possess any standing army. The rulers were to recruit enough soldiers for battle. Al-bakri a famous Muslim writer indicated the strength of the ancient Ghana to be largely composed of archers.
