Ambassador John MacGregor serves as the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan. He was raised in Vancouver, attended the University of British Columbia, and served in the uniform of a naval officer in Canada from 1974 until 2007. His career included time in command of ships and various other postings, including a final six years at the military headquarters in Ottawa where he dealt with Human Rights matters for all three branches of the Canadian military.
