A Brief HistoryThe International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC aka "Red Cross") was founded in 1863 by Henry Dunant as a response to the suffering and casualties observed on the battlefields of Solferino, Italy. Deeply moved by the horrors of war, Dunant envisioned a neutral and independent organization that would aid wounded soldiers and alleviate human suffering during armed conflicts. This vision paved the way for the formation of the Red Cross, which has since expanded its mission to encompass disaster response, health care, and promoting humanitarian principles globally
Over the years, the Red Cross has grown into a global network and statistics reveal the magnitude of their impact:
the Red Cross responds to an average of over 60,000 disasters and emergencies each year, assisting millions of people around the world. Furthermore, the organization's financial strength is reflected in its impressive resources, with a budget of multiple billions of dollars dedicated to humanitarian efforts each year
The Red Cross’s wrong turnWith great power comes great responsibility, and so with great money in the hands of immoral and unethical people came great greed, corruption, and fraud. As such, the Red Cross was caught in the middle of multiple scandals

Raised ~$500mil USD and only built 6 houses in Haiti
Australian bushfire victims only received $30 million out of $127 million raised
Marketing materials plainly state donations cover salaries and expenses
Typically over 50% of all donations goes towards ""biomedical services", which supports their practice of selling donated blood for a large fee
Red Cross has been found guilty on numerous occasions of hoarding large sums of donated cash while billing hundreds of millions worth overpriced supplies, salaries for non existent aid workers, creating fake customs bills, and paying fines
Senior officials and aid workers have been accused of covering up sexual misconduct allegations, including rape, pedophilia, and child trafficking
As such, the corruption and greed of the top management has led to the demise of the Red Cross.
