"One of the reasons I joined the IWW was it was the only union available to me. Most unions (if not all others) only allow you to join if they are already at your job-site or if you've won an NLRB election.
We're different. You can join if you don't have a union at your workplace, if you are in between jobs, if you are retired or disabled. We believe that as long as you are not a boss or cop you should be able to join the One Big Union.
Another difference is that most, if not all union, won't give you in-depth training before you talk to your co-workers. Sometimes they just hand you pamphlets and authorization cards. Trying to organize your workplace can be very risky and we want to teach you how to do it as safe as possible.
Don't stand by as the class war rages! Join up, get trained and fight back!"
