زر امیرابراهیمی در ابتدای دهه 80 خورشیدی با بازی در چندین سریال تلویزیونی به شهرت رسید. او در میانه این دهه به کشور فرانسه مهاجرت کرد. در این مدت به کار بازیگری به شکلی جدی ادامه داده و علاوه بر آثار سینمایی، در یک تئاتر به کارگردانی شبنم طلوعی نیز بازی کرده است.

An airline in Saudi Arabia has completed the country’s first flight with an all-female crew, officials said Saturday, framing it as a milestone for empowerment in the kingdom.

The flight operated by flyadeal, budget subsidiary of flag carrier Saudia, was from the capital Riyadh to the Red Sea coastal city of Jeddah on Thursday, flyadeal spokesman Emad Iskandarani said.

The “majority” of the seven-member crew were Saudi women, including the first officer, but not the captain, who was a foreign woman, Iskandarani said.

Saudi Arabia’s civil aviation authority, which confirmed flyadeal’s announcement Saturday, has touted expanding roles for women in the aviation sector in recent years.

In 2019, the authority announced the first flight with a female Saudi co-pilot.

Saudi is trying to engineer a rapid expansion of the aviation sector that would turn the kingdom into a global travel hub.

An all-female pilot team with Air India made history this week when they completed the longest nonstop commercial flight ever operated by an Indian national airline.

"We are India's daughters who were given the opportunity to make this historic flight," Capt. Agarwal, who led the crew, told CNN on Monday. "We were able to create a new chapter in the Indian aviation history. I'm extremely proud to be a part of this and I have been personally preparing for more than a year for this flight."

Air India Flight 176 aboard a Boeing 777 departed San Francisco at 8:30 p.m. local time Saturday evening. About 17 hours later, it landed in Bengaluru on Monday at 3:07 a.m. local time. The flight covered more than 8,600 miles and is the first to directly connect the U.S. to Southern India.
