Forest fires in Sardinia. The mayor of the Italian city of Santo Lussurgiu "fears the worst", after a massive fire swept through the island on Sunday, as a result of which hundreds of people were evacuated and about 10,000 acres of forest were ravaged. There are no reports of deaths or injuries yet, as 11 aircraft continue to fight the flames, but authorities are asking for additional help.
