From 40 to about 150 people were killed as a result of severe flooding in eastern Afghanistan.
A flash flood descended at night in the Kamdish district. At least 40 people have become victims of the flood, their bodies have already been found. Powerful streams of water demolished about 100 houses and livestock.
The head of the provincial council, Saidullu Nuristani, said that about 150 people were killed as a result of the overnight flooding.
