In the Croatian city of Hvar, a mosaic floor from the 2nd century AD was accidentally unearthed.
Depth - 60 cm. For almost two millennia, the streets have not been overgrown with a cultural layer, no matter what they write about the unwashed Middle Ages and sewage on the streets. Earthquakes, apparently, also fantastically left no traces on the mosaic (which cannot be said about the destroyed buildings).
