Our next MeetUp Addis features Helina Teklu, who is an architect, a graphic designer, an environmental activist, blogger for Sunsilk Ethiopia and works on women empowerment. Helina is an Alumni of YALI, Tony Elumelu Foundation fellow 2019, Connect4Climate (C4C), Climate Reality Leader and worked as Networking and Events Chair for YALI Ethiopian chapter (2019 – 2021). In 2022 she was selected to be part of Women Entrepreneurs for Africa (WE4A) program. Helina has almost 4 years experience as a Junior Architect and Interior Designer (Furniture design).
However it is her social enterprise that we are interested in, from 2018 - 2021, she worked as the CEO of Seed Bomb Ethiopia and currently opened her own company called Seed Balls Ethiopia (SBE) where she fights climate change and the backward system of Agriculture in Ethiopia with the help of Seed balls.
