LA Schools Fire 496 Employees For Ignoring Vaccine Mandate
The LA Unified School District has fired nearly 500 employees for failing to comply with its vaccine mandate to receive a first dose by Nov 15.
“Parting ways with individuals who choose not to be vaccinated is an extremely difficult, but necessary decision to ensure the safety of all in our school communities,” Interim Superintendent Megan Reilly said.
The second-largest school district in the US claims 97% of its employees are at least partially vaccinated, but wouldn’t confirm what proportion of the fired workers were specifically teachers.
