Pashinyan announced today that the status-quo in Artsakh was maintained as long as it was beneficial for Russia, and then Armenia could not "pay" anymore

“The Artsakh status-quo was maintained as long as it was in Russia's interests. When the situation changed, everything changed. And when the time came for us to pay with something, it turned out that we either did not want or could not pay. Or, we didn’t have nothing to pay as we are bankrupt.

It may be wrong to say this, but I think we are in such a state that it is worth telling this to each other, Pashinyan said at a closed meeting with Moscow lawyers of Armenian origin.”

The PM is again very vague in his examples which sometimes become confusing, but at least he voices these issues.

It’s as obvious as a crystal ball - just a couple days ago Russia actively pushed the agenda of azeris joining the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and eventually join the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

Hence why Lavrov’s plan is called “Regions in exchange for unblocking transport links”, and NOT “Regions in exchange for Artsakh Status”.

There’s no doubt that neither the big dictator and nor the small wannabe want to go this route. Like in the previous times, they will maneuver which means they would absolutely love if Armenia was the one saying “NO” to Russia in azeris joining the alliances, not themselves.

Armenia has lots of questions and demands for Russia, and most importantly the return of our POWs. However, we also know when to let turks dig their own graves.
