IF YOU WANT STRAIGHT-FORWARD ANSWERS TO THE 2020 ARTSAKH WAR
Samvel Babayan, Hero of Artsakh in the first war and the Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh during the second one - “Whatever is currently going on around Artsakh and the recent war reminds me of the same movie I watched back in 1992”
A short reminder: the first war lasted 4 years during which we had successes and challenges. 1992 was full of challenges and retreats, however nobody would own up to their mistakes and instead they put the blames on each other, same as today.
Overall, he presents facts and points out to evidences for everyone to check, and his main point is - the generals have accountability issues, therefore they come up with exaggerations, falsifications, and conspiracy theories around the events during the last war.

”There are turk spies in Armenian uniform. They wreak havoc by spreading panic amongst the public. They completed their share during the war, and now they’ve moved on to the politics. For example, regular citizens hear a General say we lost 700 soldiers and 44 tanks during the ‘Lele Tepe’ operation, but in reality we had lost 2 soldiers and 8 tanks.”
”There’s an official secret document that’s in power until today, signed in December, 1999 by Vagharshak Harutiunyan, then and current Defense Minister of Armenia, and according to that document the Artsakh Defense Army is subject to the Armenian Armed Forces and the command is centralized in Armenia, as a result the Artsakh Government did not have a full control during the war.”

”We have had 4000 Martyrs. Problem 1: let’s analyze and see under which military unit were all 4000 registered. Everybody must be registered and attached to a specific military unit. Let’s then print big pictures of the General Commanders of those military units. Now, we can clearly see some Generals. Let’s move on...
Problem 2: 1700 servicemen were left laying on the battlefield - some were wounded, and some were already killed. We are still bringing their bodies from the occupied region.
Let’s now analyze, under what conditions could those 1700 servicemen be left on the battlefield? Well, when there’s a panic or when you loose total control of the situation. And, now let’s check again under which military units were the 1700 servicemen registered.
