The South African police service has failed to pay suppliers of critical information management software.
These software suits manage the police firearms registry for police firearms and the evidence catalogue for investigating into crimes.

SAPS has been locked out of these systems since June 2020.
Thus SAPS has no way of knowing where it's own 500 000 firearms are.
SAPS also has no idea where 8 million pieces of evidence is.

This situation has been to court 10 times. The court ruled against SAPS in EVERY SINGLE CASE.

I have no words for the arrogant ineptitude of SAPS.
