The Russian rock musiсians have given a concert for personnel from the Central Military District in the rear area of the special military operation. The concert programme included both commonly favourite compositions, and new songs.

Central MD personnel warmly welcomed the rock musicians, and sang along. Yuliya and Vadim said that they consider it their duty to support the Russian defenders in difficult times, and it is a great honour for them to perform for the personnel.

In conclusion of the concert, the servicemen took pictures with the musicians, and asked for their autographs.

 Reconnaissance units from the Western Military District received data on build-up of enemy forces in one of the directions.

 The 120mm 'roving' mortar crews literally have several minutes for taking their positions, calculating initial firing data, and launching the first strike. Once the strike is launched, the crews start operating like a well-adjusted mechanism, where each serviceman knows his manoeuvre.

 The main feature of the roving weapon is its sudden emergence, and fast repositioning. Artillery operators neutralise the firing positions, destroy the strongpoints, eliminate the sheltered manpower, and light armoured vehicles of the enemy at distances of up to 7,000 metres.

 The mortars disappear as fast as they emerge. According to the personnel, they fight a mortar duel, but the enemy does not manage to respond in time, and shells an empty field.

Today, 16 February, the negotiation process resulted in returning 101 Russian servicemen from Kiev-controlled territory who were in mortal danger while in captivity.

In Kupyansk direction, the active operations of the units and artillery, conducted by the 'Zapad' Group of Forces, have resulted in the neutralisation of the manpower and military hardware of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near Novosyolovskoye (Lugansk People's Republic), Dvurechnaya, Krakhmalnoye, and Olshana (Kharkov region).

In Krasny Liman direction, the firepower operations, conducted by the artillery and heavy flamethrower systems of the 'Tsentr' Group of Forces, have resulted in the neutralisation of the enemy units near Chervonaya Dibrova and Kuzmino (Lugansk People's Republic).

In Donetsk direction, the offensive operations, supported by the artillery of the 'Yug' Group of Forces, have resulted in the elimination of up to 135 Ukrainian personnel, 2 launching ramps for HIMARS MLRS, 3 tanks, 3 armoured fighting vehicles, 8 motor vehicles, 2 howitzers (D-20 and D-30), 1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, as well as 1 U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-50 counterbattery warfare radar station have been eliminated.

In South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, the firepower operations, conducted by the artillery of the 'Vostok' Group of Forces, have resulted in the neutralisation of the AFU units near Ugledar and Prechistovka (Donetsk People's Republic).

Russian Defence Ministry shows Su-25 ground-attack aircraft, Khosta self-propelled artillery guns, 152mm D-20 howitzers, and Fuel Service of the Western Military District's CSS units in combat action within the special military operation.

A delegation from the Russian Ministry of Defence attended the regular session of the Senior Officials' Working Group of ASEAN Defence Minister's Meeting (ADSOM Plus WG) in Jakarta.

Upgraded Su-25SM3: superpower over the battlefield

The Su-25SM3 ground-attack airplane is designed for

providing direct support to ground forces in a battlefield;

destroying enemy facilities in any weather conditions.

The Su-25SM3 is distinuguished from its predecessors mainly by its new SOLT-25 (optical, laser, thermographic system) navigation and target acquisition system. It can detect and track ground, surface, and air targets in any climatic conditions and time of the day.

The Su-25SM3 is equipped with GLONASS system for navigating, and operating high-precision armament.

Operational survivability is increased by the Vitebsk-25 on-board defence system. Apart from electronic warfare, this system is responsible for releasing heat flares if the airplane is being attacked by man-portable air defence systems.

Armament

The combat service support (CSS) is like a circulatory system, providing Russian troops on the front lines with everything they need.

The distance to the front is a few kilometers. Diesel fuel is completely stocked in the tanker. However, the tank and vehicle crews that transport ammunition to Russian troops – artillerymen and mortar men – have little time to get to the base refueling area because the terrain is tough to navigate and the enemy is continually bouncing back.

In a few minutes, a dozen cars are refuelled.

The well-established chain of fuel delivery to the front line begins in the rear area of the special military operation. At the unloading station, POL are transferred from rail tankers to a mobile warehouse in special camouflaged polymer tanks, having previously undergone all control tests in a deployed laboratory.
