JUST IN: Bojo to urge MPs to 'MOVE ON' - as PM accused of 'instigating' lockdown party

The British Prime Minister is expected to tell MPs on Tuesday that 'Partygate' should not be the focus of politicians when Parliament returns this week.

Maybe they can focus on his govt creating a cost of living crisis... or shoving migrants off to "safe" Rwanda for processing... or... his hair?

Scientists Say Life on Earth Began Way BEFORE We Thought

A mysterious, complex plant-like structure has been found inside a fist-sized rock in Canada, estimated to be between 3.75 and 4.28 billion years old.

Once a part of the seafloor, it contained a stem with parallel branches on one side which are nearly a centimeter (half-inch) long.

The discovery means “life could have begun as little as 300 million years after Earth formed. In geological terms, this is quick – about one spin of the Sun around the galaxy,” the lead author of the study said.

Wonder if gas prices were less than $4 a gallon 300 million years ago…

Nestle, Pepsi & Oreo-Maker Facing Increasing Pressure from Employees to Get Out of Russia

A small fraction of European workers are threatening to quit or boycott companies like Nestle for continuing to do business in Russia.

Mondelez, the company behind Oreo Cookies, has received a petition signed by roughly 130 employees from the Baltic states to cut all ties there.

The activism comes as Ukraine has repeatedly appealed to Western companies to cut all commercial ties with Russia, with the mayor of Kyiv calling funds earned there, “blood money.”

Surely, Russia won’t make it without cookies.

TikTok Under Investigation For Failing To Moderate Child Sex Abuse Material

US authorities have launched a probe into how privacy features at TikTok are being misused by predators, as well as the platform’s alleged failure to control child sex abuse materials.

The illegal content is reportedly shared via “Only Me” functionality between predators that have exchanged or sold passwords to each other.

The Department of Homeland Security also says that despite having tens of thousands of moderators, TikTok is still popular among predators due to its younger audience.

Metaverse Controller Allows Users to Touch Objects in Virtual Reality

A new virtual reality controller lets people touch and feel digital objects in the Metaverse.

The handheld haptic controller, named SpinOcchio, was developed by researchers from MAKinteract Lab.

Spinning and pivoting disks in the hand piece replicate the feeling of skin slip around the fingertips - its developers say the device could even accurately recreate virtual experiences such as pottery.

Spending potentially thousands to feel mud in your hands … the future is now?

US Ready to Test ‘SECRET’ Anti-Missile Base Located in Poland

The “secret” base in Redzikowo, which was built for around $850 million, is already manned and equipped with radar and interceptor missiles ready for testing.

The installation is allegedly for protection against a rocket attack by Iran or North Korea - although it’s not exactly clear why the base had to be located in Poland.

Russia has expressed concern at the bases location which it considers to be a threat to national security, however the US claims the Redzikowo facility does not have any offensive capabilities.
