Globally, employers and employees are doing more to support various causes within the workplace. But what if these are unrelated to your employer’s business or the job you are hired to do?

The Tripartite Partners are conscious of such trends and the importance of preserving workplaces where employers and employees can thrive, regardless of their values and beliefs.

Employers are expected to abide by the principles of fair employment practices set out in the TGFEP. We urge everyone to play your part in building and maintaining a harmonious workplace. More details here: go.gov.sg/workplaceharmony

From 1 January 2023, all migrant domestic workers must have at least one rest day a month that cannot be compensated away

Allows them to rest and recharge, and form support networks outside the household

Employers and migrant domestic workers must mutually agree on rest day arrangements

If there are changes to a migrant domestic worker’s rest day arrangements, employers must update MOM via the FDW eService here: go.gov.sg/8f80q4

The Labour Force in Singapore Advance Release 2022 released by the Ministry of Manpower today showed that our labour market is on track in its recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

A larger proportion of our resident population was engaged in work, even higher than pre-COVID times.

Real median income growth, though affected by higher inflation, improved from 2021.
