2021-09-03 13:21:31 Whoever speaks the words of kufr, jokingly or otherwise, is a kāfir according to all the scholars, and it does not matter what his real belief is.

2021-08-31 19:44:35 He may Allah have mercy on him answered: “The one dies in a car accident is from the shuhadā’ (martyrs) if Allah wills; because he is like the one who died from falling or drowning and the likes.”

2021-08-28 19:14:07 One of the greatest voluntary acts a worshipper gets closer to Allah the Most High with is:
وَمِنْ أَعْظَمِ مَا يُتَقَرَّبُ بِهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى مِنَ النَّوَافِلِ

An abundance of recitation of the Qurʾān,
كَثْرَةُ تِلَاوَةِ الْقُرْآنِ،

And listening to it with reflection, contemplation and understanding.
وَسَمَاعُهُ بِتَفَكُّرٍ وَتَدَبُّرٍ وَتَفَهُّمٍ،

Khabbāb b. al-Aratt said to a man: “Get close to Allah as much as you can. And know that you do not get closer to Him with anything more beloved to Him than His Speech.”
قَالَ خَبَّابُ بْنُ الْأَرَتِّ لِرَجُلٍ: تَقَرَّبْ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَا اسْتَطَعْتَ، وَاعْلَمْ أَنَّكَ لَنْ تَتَقَرَّبَ إِلَيْهِ بِشَيْءٍ هُوَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ كَلَامِهِ.

2021-08-25 17:19:01 Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger ﷺ said: “Do not distinguish between Allah's prophets, for indeed the horn will be blown, and everyone in the heavens and everyone on Earth would lose consciousness, except whom Allah wills. It would then be blown another time, and I would be the first to be resurrected, and behold! Mūsá would be holding the 'Arsh! I do not know, was he taken to account the first time he passed out on the mountain or was he resurrected before me? And I cannot say that anyone is better than Yūnus b. Mattá.”

«لا تفضلوا بين أنبياء الله فإنه ينفخ في الصور فيصعق من في السموات ومن في الأرض إلا ما شاء الله ثم ينفخ فيه أخرى فأكون أول من بعث فإذا موسى آخذ بالعرش فلا أدري أحوسب بصعقته يوم الطور أم بعث قبلي ولا أقول إن أحدا أفضل من يونس بن متى».

2021-08-21 19:44:15 ʿAlī al-Madīnī stated: I studied the chains of narrations and found that they revolve around six individuals: From the people of Madīnah: Ibn Shihāb [al-Zuhrī]: Muḥammad b. Muslim b. ʿAbd Allah b. Shihāb, his Kunya is Abū Bakr. He died in the year 124H.
وَذَكَرَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ أَصْحَابَ التَّصْنِيفِ بَعْدَ أَنْ قَالَ: نَظَرْتُ فَإِذَا الْإِسْنَادُ يَدُورُ عَلَى سِتَّةٍ: فَلِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ وَهُوَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ، وَيُكْنَى أَبَا بَكْرٍ، مَاتَ سَنَةَ أَرْبَعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ وَمِائَةٍ

From the people of Makkah: ʿUmar b. Dīnār, Mawlá Jamh, his kunya is Abū Muḥammad, he died in the year 126H.
وَلِأَهْلِ مَكَّةَ عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي جُمَحٍ، وَيُكْنَى أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ، مَاتَ سَنَةَ سِتٍّ وَعِشْرِينَ وَمِائَةٍ،

From the people of al Baṣrah: Qatādah b. Daʿāmah as Sadūsī, his Kunya is Abū ʿl-Khaṭṭāb, he died in the year 117H.
وَلِأَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ قَتَادَةُ بْنُ دِعَامَةَ السَّدُوسِيُّ، وَكُنْيَتُهُ أَبُو الْخَطَّابِ، مَاتَ سَنَةَ سَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ وَمِائَةٍ،

Yaḥyá b. Abū Kathīr, his Kunya is Abū Naṣr, he died the in year 132H.
وَيَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، وَيُكْنَى أَبَا نَصْرٍ، مَاتَ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَثَلَاثِينَ وَمِائَةٍ بِالْيَمَامَةِ

From the people of al Kūfah: Abū Isḥāq [as Sabīʿī]; his name is ʿAmr b. ʿAbd Allah b. ʿUbayd, he died in 129H.
وَلِأَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، وَاسْمُهُ عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ السَّبِيعِيُّ مَاتَ سَنَةَ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ وَمِائَةٍ،

Sulaymān b. Mihrān, Mawlá of the people of Kāhil, his Kunya is Abū Muḥammad, he died in the year 148H. He was a handsome man.
وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ الْأَعْمَشُ مَوْلَى بَنِي كَاهِلٍ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ، يُكْنَى أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ، مَاتَ سَنَةَ ثَمَانٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ وَمِائَةٍ، وَكَانَ جَمِيلًا.

2021-08-17 17:58:19 A Muslim should know the reality of his religion and all that contradicts it, such as ascribing partners to Allah (glory be to Him). Allah (Exalted be He) makes it allowable to repent of bad deeds until the sun rises from the west but what is strikingly distressful is that many people are unaware of the religion of Islām and are ignorant of its principles that may cast them into the abyss of Shirk and disbelief due to their ignorance of what was revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ of guidance and religion.

وأن يعرف المسلم حقيقة دينه، وضده من الشرك بالله تعالى، ويعلم أن باب التوبة من الشرك والمعاصي مفتوح إلى أن تطلع الشمس من مغربها. ولكن المصيبة العظيمة، وهي الغفلة عن دين الله، وعدم التفقه فيه، فربما وقع العبد في الشرك والكفر بالله وهو لا يبالي، لغلبة الجهل، وقلة العلم بما جاء به الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم من الهدى ودين الحق.

2021-08-15 18:06:28 It is permissible to make duʿāʾ in Arabic and in languages other than Arabic.
وَالدُّعَاءُ يَجُوزُ بِالْعَرَبِيَّةِ وَبِغَيْرِ الْعَرَبِيَّةِ

Allah subḥānu knows the intention of the supplicant and what he wants, no matter what language he speaks, because He hears all the voices in all different languages, asking for all kinds of needs.
وَاَللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ يَعْلَمُ قَصْدَ الدَّاعِي وَمُرَادَهُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُقَوِّمْ لِسَانَهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ ضَجِيجَ الْأَصْوَاتِ بِاخْتِلَافِ اللُّغَاتِ عَلَى تَنَوُّعِ الْحَاجَاتِ.

2021-08-11 19:26:38 On the authority of al-Ḥārith, who narrated on the authority of ʿAlī (may Allah be pleased with him): “I used to practice ġusl from Janābah, then come and warm myself with my wife before she practiced ġusl, then he I pray without touching water (ie: performing ablution).”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ «أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ، ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ فَيَسْتَدْفِئُ بِامْرَأَتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْتَسِلَ، ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي وَلَا يَمَسُّ مَاءً»

2021-08-05 17:48:26 On the authority of Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī – may Allah be pleased with him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever has three daughters, or three sisters, or two daughters, or two sisters and is a beneficent companion to them, and fears Allah concerning them, then for him is Jannah.”

وعن أبي سعيدٍ الخدريِّ رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ -: "مَنْ كان له ثلاثُ بناتٍ أو ثلاثُ أخَواتٍ، أوْ بِنتانِ، أو أُخْتانِ، فأحْسَن صُحبَتُهنَّ واتَّقى الله فيهِنَّ؛ فله الجنَّةُ".

Ṣaḥīḥ li-ġayrihi; Reported by al-Tirmiḏī and this is his wording.

صحيح لغيره؛ رواه الترمذي، واللفظ له.

وكان يقول: إن أثر الحبر في ثوب صاحب الحديث أحسن من الخلوق في ثوب العروس.
