The main idea - LeoLabs expands the European radar network.
LeoLabs has announced its plans according to which it will create a radar installation on the territory of the Azores. The date of commissioning of this facility is 2022.
As an advantage for placing the S-Band radar in this location, the possibility of working over the territories of the North Atlantic and Europe is named. Since the new radar will allow tracking space debris with dimensions up to 2 centimeters, it will also contribute to the implementation of the company's plans for tracking small near-Earth objects.
