Have you noticed a trend in big company logo’s lately?
There’s been a landslide in companies stripping depth, texture & 3D elements, replacing them with a flat simplistic logo.
So why is this happening? How has the digital landscape drifted logo’s into a new fashion trend and will it be permanent?
Logo’s are being dramatically simplified because attention has drifted away from the physical world of signs and billboards and brand identities are requiring mobile first design.
This among many other pressures that logo’s are currently facing.
However at the same time, looking at Web3 capabilities in the coming decade, 3D logo’s may very well make a very strong resurgence.
What are your thoughts?

Why do some fonts fade our with trends while others remain timeless & continue to be used over the span of decades.
Typically timeless fonts remain modest, refined & extremely legible. Too much style and over design opens you to the sands of time making your once beloved logo feel dated.
These fonts are constantly deployed into projects we work on with my company @rivyl.co
As you can see, depending how the wordmark is dressed up it can take on a completely new feeling from the base font.
If you’re seeking something to serve your company over a lifetime, certainly take these bad boys into serious consideration.
