Market Review Before Wall Street Opening:

STOCKS: U.S. stocks drifted lower Friday amid growing concerns about the Delta variant of Covid 19, but major indexes held on to their gains for the month. Shares of Amazon fell sharply after its quarterly sales growth lagged expectations, weighing on the Nasdaq Composite.

TREASURYS: Treasury yields ended lower, with the 2- and 10-year rates notching their biggest one-month drops in over a year, as the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation gauge rose sharply in June, but by less than forecasters had expected.

FOREX:  The dollar rose against rivals as Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis President James Bullard said he would support tapering of bond purchases, given rising inflation.

COMMODITIES: Oil futures edged higher, shrugging off early losses as markets juggle strong earnings and economic data with the prospect of new restrictions possibly being triggered by a resurgence of Covid-19 cases.
