JSC Uzbekistan Airways is planning significant measures to modernize company:
- to sell 17 airplanes (mostly old Boeings and locally produced IL-114-100), return few Boeing planes and increase number of Airbuses.
- Government to provide land use tax 50% benefits and freeze interest and repayment on $40 million loan until 2024;
- National Bank of Uzbekistan and FRDU to freeze interest and repayment on 895 billion UZS and $77.73 million loans until 2024;
- to establish first national low-cost carrier - Loukost.
