— "The Russian military began searches in a cemetery near a Palestinian refugee camp outside Damascus, in attempts to locate remains of two Israeli soldiers missing since 1982, Syrian media reported this week.

Tzvi Feldman and Yehuda Katz went missing in the 1982 First Lebanon War’s battle of Sultan Yacoub, along with Zachary Baumel, whose remains were recovered and returned to Israel in 2019.

The Yarmouk refugee camp, home to one of the largest Palestinian refugee communities in Syria and the site of the remains of Baumel, was once again being searched for remains by the Russian military, the Syrian Capital Voice site reported Thursday. The unverified report said the search would include DNA testing."

Opposition sources said that the attacks were carried out in response to the killing of Naim Abdul Rahim al-Zamil, a former rebel from Kanakir. According to the sources, al-Zamil was shot and killed by a local pro-government group led by Walid Hafez, who is affiliated with the SAA’s 4th Division.

Al-Zamil was reportedly a fighter in the Free Syrian Army’s al-Furaqn Brigades, which was active in Southern Damascus and al-Quneitra in the early years of the Syrian war"

Addressing the country via state TV on Monday, military ruler General Min Aung Hlaing said Myanmar will become a "true and disciplined democracy". He also accused Suu Kyi and other leaders, who are currently under house arrest, of failing to properly hold the general election in November last year.

Aung Hlaing ousted Suu Kyi's government on February 1 after claiming her National League for Democracy Party (NLD) had rigged the vote, after it won in a landslide.

The military leader said he invited new foreign investment and pledged to keep foreign policy unchanged."
