Much of our enemy’s efforts is to deceive us & get us to believe the deceit is good.
It’s not enough just to get us to believe a lie.
The enemy aims to get us to defend, and maybe actively advance, the lie.
Examples:
The two party political system’s most basic lie is about self-preservation:
“If I dont vote Republican, then the Democrats will win & America will be destroyed.”
Meanwhile, America is being destroyed.
Another lie: 401k/retirement vehicles:
“I need to save money, leverage compounding interest over time, so that I will be able to support myself after I retire.”
Meanwhile, the companies you invest in are achieving global monopoly & the Dollar you depend on has had its value diluted into worthlessness, & retirement is a marketing idea to justify you stopping your productivity.
Another lie: healthcare
“Doctors are smart & they know which drugs will best be able to help me not die.”
Not all smart people always tell the truth, manufactured drugs have a massive profit motive versus natural remedies, & and no one lives forever on this side of eternity.
These lies enslave people with a sense of security.
Protecting against future uncertainty is their purpose, but idolatry & destroying freedom is their outcome.
