Stanford engineers present new chip that ramps up AI computing efficiency

• Engineers from Stanford have developed a chip that does AI processing within its memory, eliminating the separation between compute and memory units.

• The resistive random-access memory (RRAM) chip is about the size of a fingertip and can do more work with limited battery power than current chips.
