Chemical and Construction Inputs Industry Development Institute (CCIIDI) to Buy Coal Processing Machinery to Supply Local Cement FactoriesFollowing the depreciation of the #Ethiopian Birr, CCIIDI has decided to buy coal processing machinery to supply local cement factories. The increasing price of coal in the international market, more than a 100% price surge, has forced the government to look into local initiative to produce up-to-standard coal for the cement industry.
Through this initiative, the institute plans to cover 90% of the cement industry’s coal demand. The government is now on the process of finalizing procurement of necessary machineries.
