#Ethiopia to Deal with IMF to Regain $1.5 billion Loan

After the expiry of a $1.5 billion loan facility approved last year, Ethiopia is now requesting for a new credit arrangement to access $1.5 billion concessional loan from the IMF.

This will give Ethiopia access to concessional poverty reduction & growth trust resources, replacing the expired facility, if approved. “We look forward to discuss the modalities of IMF engagement going forward,” said Eyob Tekalign, State Minister of Finance.
