How bad are the Omicron variant symptoms?

The South African doctor who first reported the new variant said people with the Omicron variant have 'extremely mild' symptoms and haven't had to be hospitalized yet.

On the vaccine front, White House cheif medical officer Dr. Anthony Fauci says it looks like the Omicron variant could evade some antibodies from COVID-19 vaccines, but they still offer the best chance of protection.

Meanwhile, BioNTech has already started developing a new Omicron version of its COVID-19 vaccine, as it doesn’t want to “waste any time.”
