2022-06-01 19:50:36 A reminder of how old I am: I got involved in politics because of the Ron Paul movement, nearly 15 years ago. In the ‘00s, there weren’t many conservatives saying the “politically incorrect” truths, and everything had become all about “compassionate conservatism,” DR3, and the like. Ron Paul was different. And, in theory, because it didn’t need to be bound by the same mainstream views, and was inherently fringe, the Libertarian Party should’ve been honest, too. And it was, sometimes… until it wasn’t. Eventually the LP became a party of Democrat-lite social views, and Republican-lite groveling about "we agree on the principles, but here's how we meet your social justice needs better!"

Hopefully both the LP and the GOP get back to where they belong. Open / Comment
