A delegation from Belarus arrived in Crimea

A five-person delegation from Belarus arrived in Crimea, said Roman Chegrinets, head of the regional national-cultural autonomy “Belarusians of Crimea”.

“The delegation has arrived in Crimea.

It consists of five people.

Today they will visit the grave of the Belarusian poet Maxim Bogdanovich in Yalta, and tomorrow they will take part in a meeting of the Livadia Forum, ”he told RIA Novosti.

The delegation included deputy chairman of the public association "Belaya Rus" Alexander Shatko, member of the Constitutional Commission, political observer Alexander Shpakovsky, researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, political scientist Alexei Dzermant, chairman of the organizing committee of the political party "Union" Sergei Lushch and analyst of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies Alexei Avdonin.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said in an interview with RIA Novosti that Crimea became de facto and de jure Russian after the 2014 referendum.

He also announced his intention to visit the territory of the peninsula, noting that there are already relevant agreements with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which the majority of the peninsula's residents voted in favor of reunification with Russia.
