The forum titled "Cultural and Humanitarian Ties of Crimean Tatar Organizations with their Citizens in Turkey" announced by the Spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mariya Zakharova. The delegation from Crimea talked about the developments in cultural life after the country's annexation to Russia.

The event, which started with the greeting speech of Aleksandr Sotnichenko, President of the Russian Science and Culture Center Russian House, which hosted the forum titled "Cultural and Humanitarian Ties of Crimean Tatar Organizations with their Citizens in Turkey", continued with the opening speech of the President of the Federation of Crimean Tatar Associations, Ünver Sel.

In his speech, Sel stated that they organized this organization to explain the cultural developments in the country after the annexation of Crimea to Russia to the citizens living in the Republic of Turkey.

"We, as Crimean Tatars, come to tell what has happened since 2014, after our homeland Crimea joined Russia, on every platform in Turkey and abroad. As part of these cultural days, together with our partners in Crimea and Russia, since 2018 "We held 3 events. After the internal turmoil in Ukraine, it first became independent and then joined Russia in order not to participate in these turmoil. It is also clear by the rules of the UN that nations all over the world take the desired decision with their own initiative."


Stating that the organization was held with important participants from Crimea, Sel said, "We had some difficulties while organizing the organization. We planned this event for 3 days. In this context, a theater performance was prepared in the Youth Park in Ulus. Unfortunately, a tradition has started to form in the last period. The State of the Republic of Turkey. We see the desire of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine to fulfill requests such as the directive, not on its own initiative.
