The word "Nano" comes from ancient Greek and means "Dwarf" (nanos means dwarf), used as a prefix "nano" denotes 10^9, that is "one-billionth", so a nanometer is equal to a billionth of a meter (1nM = 0.000000001), a single strand of hair is about 80,000 nanometer so you can imagine how small the nano scale actually is!

A nanofertilizer, is any product that delivers nutrients to plants on a nano scale. There are three main routes of delivery at the nano scale - inside nanotubes or nanoporous materials, coated with a thin protective polymer film or delivered as particle and emulsions of nanoscale dimension (<100nM).

Nitrogen is an integral nutrient source for food, biomass and fibre production in agriculture, however the Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE) by crops is very low, 50-70% of the nitrogen applied through conventional fertilizer is lost owing to leaching in the form of water soluble nitrates, emissions of gaseous ammonia and nitrogen oxides. Many attempts have been made to increase the NUE with little success paving the way to apply nanotechnology to solve this problem.

In addition to increasing the NUE, nanotechnology has been used for controlled release of chemical compounds, improved yields by conventional fertilizers and used as bactericidal additives.

Nanoparticles have high surface area, sorption capacity, and controlled-release kinetics.Nanostructured fertilizers can increase the nutrient use efficiency through mechanisms such as targeted delivery, slow or controlled release in responding to environmental triggers and biological demands. More research and funding is required to optimize these smart delivery systems and cater to the ever increasing food needs of billions of people worldwide.

NFT stands for Non-Fungible Tokens, Non-fungible is an economic term that means an unique item without interchangeable value, for a digital artist this can be an unique piece of art, for a creator it can be a song file and for a manufacturer of software it can be a program file.

Fungible in economic terms stands for items that are non-unique and interchangeable for each other. For example currency, 1USD will buy you a chocolate, the value of the dollar bill is set and it is not unique, there are many 1 dollar bills and each bill will buy you a chocolate that costs 1USD.

NFT's transforms digital assets by adding a unique digital signature, that makes a blockchain based digital certificate like many cryptocurrencies. It secures digital assets from being copied, forged or shared as without the original digital signature, the authenticity and legitimacy of the original digital asset created will not be present.

An example, Imagine a photographer takes a photo of Mother Teresa, he digitizes it and buys a NFT token for this photograph, this photo is now secured as his unique digital asset, which means even though people can share this photograph on social media or use it as their wallpaper, they do not own the original creator signature for that digital asset, if someone wants to buy the original photograph, they will need to verify the NFT token and purchase it from the photographer.

NFTs have recently been in the news drawing a lot of celebrity attention and investors onto the blockchain network as collectors and enthusiasts flock to own the original digital asset made by creators all over the world.

Modern Electric Clippers are handheld and build on the innovations of early electric clippers. The main component of a hair clipper is the motor design. Attached to the motor is a piston that holds a set of small, sharpened blades shaped like a comb full of teeth.

When the motor is powered by electricity or a battery, it moves rapidly in a horizontal fashion. There is also a slight vertical axis movement. These movements cause the blades to rub against each other at a speed that allows it to cut hair. Since the blades are self-sharpening, they cut hair without pulling the entire follicles out of the scalp.

Electric clippers require little maintenance beyond brushing hairs out of the blades and applying one or two drops of lubricating oil during every other cut. The motor is housed inside a plastic case that is usually designed for handheld use.

A barber typically runs the blade perpendicular to the scalp with a scooping motion at the end. Hair clippers typically come with guards of different lengths. You simply choose a guard and snap it into place. This protects the scalp and determines how long the hair will be cut to.

Near Field Communication (NFC) is a technology that allows two-way communication between a phone and an NFC tag; this communication is established when a phone is brought within 10 cm of the NFC tag. With NFC, you can transfer information between devices quickly and easily with a single touch whether paying bills, exchanging business cards, downloading coupons, or sharing a research paper.

The tech involved is deceptively simple: evolved from radio frequency identification (RFID) tech, an NFC chip operates as one part of a wireless link. Once it's activated by another chip, small amounts of data between the two devices can be transferred when held a few centimeters from each other.

No pairing code is necessary to link up and because it uses chips that run on very low amounts of power (or passively, using even less), it's much more power-efficient than other wireless communication types. At its core, NFC works to identify us by our enabled cards and devices (and by extension, our bank accounts and other personal info.)

Modern fireworks can burst into hearts, smiley faces and even a representation of the planet Saturn. The shape comes down to the construction of the firework’s shell (container) and the arrangement of the exploding stars (pyrotechnic pellets) within them. As aerial shells are often spherical, they tend to explode symmetrically. Arranging the stars into the desired shape on a piece of card within the shell makes them explode outwards in that pattern.

Manufacturers also use multi-break shells that have different compartments inside them, often with stars of various colours and compositions. When these are placed and fused in a specific order, they will explode in sequence to create recognisable patterns and shapes in the sky. However, it’s not an exact science; many displays will fire several copies of the same firework at the same time so that at least one of them creates the desired shape in the audience’s line of sight.

Clouds are made up of very light water droplets or ice crystals. These particles can float in the air. When warm air rises, swells and cools, it forms clouds. Many water droplets formed together scatter reflect sunlight and you see a white could, but with a dark or gray cloud, the sunlight is scattered in all directions instead of reflected. The different types of clouds are cumulus, cirrus, stratus and nimbus.

Cirrus clouds are the thin, wispy clouds seen high in the sky. They look as if someone took a cloud, stretched it, pulling pieces off, like a cotton ball when it is pulled apart. They are thin because they are made of ice crystals instead of water droplets. A blue sky and a few cirrus clouds high in the sky, usually means it is going to be a nice day.

Cumulus clouds are the puffy clouds that are usually scattered throughout the sky. In Latin, the word cumulus means pile. Just like when we say “accumulate,” it means things pile up. This type of cloud is formed when warm air rises carrying water vapor with it by evaporation. Cumulus clouds can be white or gray. White fluffy clouds means no rain, but when they form into dark or gray clouds, it is going to rain.

Stratus clouds look like a huge thick blanket covering the sky. These clouds are a sure sign of rain if it is warm and snow if it is cold. If stratus clouds are near the ground, they form fog. These clouds form when the weather has been cold and warmer moist air blows in. The amount of moisture in the air and the difference between warm and cold air determine how thick the cloud or fog is.

The word nimbus means a cloud that already has rain or snow falling from it. These clouds are dark and seen during a thunderstorm along with thunder and lightning. They can be a combination of two clouds, like a cumulonimbus, which means a puffy black cloud with rain falling out or it, or a stratonimbus, which is a dark blanket with rain falling out of it.
