1. Indian Navy takes part in US Navy-led SEACAT exercises
 U.S. Navy led Southeast Asia Cooperation and Training (SEACAT) military exercise in Singapore.


2. Four new sites of India added to Ramsar wetlands list,

c.Sultanpur, Haryana.
d.Bhindawas, Haryana.
total 46 Ramsar sites in India .
Ramsar convention was signed in 1971.


3. Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs launched ‘SonChiraiya’ for SHG
Under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM),  .It mobilizes women from urban poor households into SHGs and their federations to create a support system for these women.
