1.World's second-largest refurbished gene bank inaugurated at NBPGR, Pusa by
Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR), National Gene Bank was established in 1996 to preserve the seeds of Plant Genetic Resources (PGR) for future generations .
